Raba Kistner is seeking a detailed-oriented, dependable Dispatcher to join our Consultants team in Sulphur, LA area. The Dispatcher is responsible for the efficient scheduling and coordinating of all materials and construction services technicians, capitalizing on each technician's expertise and experience. Other responsibilities include:

  • Determine and effectively communicate daily individual assignments for technicians.
  • Handle high volume of routine client telephone and email contacts in regard to scheduling field inspections.
  • Review field inspection/testing reports for administrative review.
  • Perform data entry of scheduling information, initial field reports, assignment numbers and assist in data entry of inspection/testing reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or (General Education Development) GED and one year of relevant experience required.

High attention to detail to include precise data entry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with a high degree of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, scheduling software and/or construction industry related programs. Ability to effectively interact with various levels of management within the organization. Must be able to work efficiently, handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work independently in a matrix environment to execute and deliver results. Requires basic math skills to verify calculations. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Ability to utilize hand tools such as sledge hammers, shovels, and picks. Ability to work outside and work on equipment.

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, frequently required to stoop, kneel crouch or crawl, regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, and talk. Continuously required to use hands and reach. Regularly required to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, focus vision, depth vision. Work environment includes potential exposure to movement of heavy equipment on construction or roadway sites; potential exposure to hazardous dangerous chemicals and solvents, noise, dust, fumes, grease and oils, radiant and electrical energy, and vibration; all of which would require employee to follow implement and follow proper safety procedures and utilize appropriate protective equipment. Regular use of non-complex machines and equipment. Work assignments are frequently performed outside in all weather conditions.


This position may require protracted or irregular hours. Flexibility to work irregular hours is necessary due to client needs.
