Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available at an elementary school in Boston, MA. This contract position spans a full semester, running from ASAP through the end of the 2025-2026 school year (tentatively ending June 30th). The role is ideal for educators with school-based experience and an active Massachusetts teaching license or certification.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 14-15 inclusion students, delivering tailored instructional support within an elementary school setting, and collaborating closely with general education staff to promote an inclusive learning environment. The position follows a 32.5-hour week schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM. The role is onsite, providing hands-on engagement with students and school staff.
Preferred qualifications and requirements:
- Experience teaching special education in a school-based setting
- Active Massachusetts teaching license or certification in Special Education
- Ability to manage an inclusion caseload effectively
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not mandatory
- Successful completion of CORI background check and fingerprinting (a letter of suitability from a previous employer may be accepted in lieu of new fingerprints)
- Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process
