Allen Integrated Assemblies (AIA) is seeking a Group Leader of PC Boards to join our team. In this role, the Group Leader will perform the job duties of the PC Board Assembler but also assist with ensuring the production process is on track to meet required deadlines and quality standards. The hours are based on production which are 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. This is an onsite position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Insert and solder electronic components on electronic circuit boards.
  • Complete various assemblies in compliance with IPC standards and drawings located in the production folder.
  • Align and secure components on the PCB using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Assist with AIA projects as needed.
  • As Group Leader:
    • Train and mentor new employees hired in the department.
    • Train current employees on new or revised processes or requirements in the department.
    • Delegate tasks to coworkers as instructed by the AIA Production Supervisor.
    • Act as main point of contact for questions from team, reaching out to AIA Production Supervisor as needed.
    • Gather weekly timecards, sign, and submit to Human Resources, in the absence of the AIA Production Supervisor.
    • Promote the company culture as it relates to attendance, reliability & dependability, quality and safety.
    • Work professionally with other Group Leaders and Supervisors to foster a team environment.
    • Communicate process or quality issues to the AIA Production Supervisor, including any resolutions provided.
    • Advocate Company policies and a positive and productive work environment.
    • Identify improvements to processes and workflows within the department to improve efficiency and effectiveness and review with AIA engineering and AIA Production Manager.
    • Review team’s progress on jobs and projects to ensure deadlines will be met and provide updates to the AIA Production Supervisor.
  • Complete work assignments as assigned by Department Supervisor.
  • Must cooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the department to include but not limited to blue coat, foot straps (for static guard) and safety glasses.

Qualifications:

· Good visual acuity.

· Ability to use small hand tools and soldering irons.

Requirements:

· HS Diploma or equivalent.

· Prior experience soldering is required.

· Prior experience reading assembly drawings and work instructions.

· IPC Certification preferred.

· Ability to sit at work bench to perform duties for the 8-hour shift.

· Ability to lift 30lbs.
