Your Role as Tax Manager – Client Controller
This is not your typical tax-focused role. As a Tax Manager with Our Client, you’ll lead with strategy, serve as a mentor, and work directly with clients as their go-to advisor. You’ll handle:
- Proactive Tax & Business Strategy: Prepare and review income tax returns for businesses and owners while providing tax projections and strategic advisory services.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee clients’ monthly financial statements, identifying opportunities for process improvements and growth strategies.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership: Mentor staff, share knowledge, and work closely with the internal tax department on complex matters.
- Client Relationships: Build strong, lasting relationships with clients by delivering personalized advice and maintaining a deep understanding of their businesses and goals.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field (required); CPA or EA designation preferred but will consider someone that is actively pursuing either.
- 4+ years of progressive public accounting or consulting experience.
- Advanced tax knowledge combined with project management expertise.
- A passion for technology, with proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office 365, and professional tax software.
- Leadership skills, with a commitment to mentoring and developing team members.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, coupled with a positive, “can-do” mindset.
- Experience in a remote, paperless environment is strongly preferred.
