A well-established organization supporting the oil & gas industry is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Trainer for a 3-6 month contract assignment. This role will be responsible for delivering safety training programs, ensuring workforce compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across field and operational environments.
This opportunity is ideal for a safety professional with a proven background training personnel in oilfield, pipeline, construction, industrial, or energy-related operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instructor-led safety training programs covering regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices for field personnel and contractors.
- Facilitate PEC Basic Orientation, defensive driving, first aid, and other required safety certifications while maintaining accurate training records and documentation.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, observations, and performance metrics, recommending improvements as needed.
- Partner with operations and HSE leadership to reinforce safe work practices, support incident prevention initiatives, and ensure workforce compliance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as an HSE Trainer, Safety Trainer, or EHS Training Specialist within the oil & gas, energy, industrial, or construction sectors.
- Current PEC Basic Orientation (PEC SafeLandUSA) certification required.
- Current PEC Clear, Medic First Aid, and Smith System Driver Training certifications required.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, incident prevention, and adult learning methodologies with excellent presentation and communication skills.
Preferred Background
- Experience training field personnel, contractors, drivers, and operations teams in high-risk environments.
- Knowledge of upstream, midstream, downstream, pipeline, refinery, or industrial operations.
- Ability to travel to field locations and conduct hands-on safety training sessions.
- Strong organizational skills with experience maintaining training compliance records and audit-ready documentation.
