About the Role

Central MEP Solutions is seeking a qualified Journeyman Electrician for a commercial union project in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for experienced electricians who have strong commercial construction experience and are comfortable working in a union environment.

You will perform electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting while supporting project timelines and maintaining strict safety standards on active commercial job sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain commercial electrical systems

  • Run, bend, and install conduit (EMT, rigid, and other types as required)

  • Pull, terminate, and test wiring

  • Install panels, switchgear, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment

  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform system testing

  • Ensure compliance with NEC codes, union agreements, and safety regulations

  • Maintain a clean and organized job site

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of commercial electrical experience

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license (if required by Washington, DC regulations)

  • Experience working on union construction job sites required

  • Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical installation methods

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications

  • Proficient with hand and power tools

  • Reliable transportation to Washington, DC
