About the Role
Central MEP Solutions is seeking a qualified Journeyman Electrician for a commercial union project in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for experienced electricians who have strong commercial construction experience and are comfortable working in a union environment.
You will perform electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting while supporting project timelines and maintaining strict safety standards on active commercial job sites.
Key Responsibilities

Install and maintain commercial electrical systems

Run, bend, and install conduit (EMT, rigid, and other types as required)

Pull, terminate, and test wiring

Install panels, switchgear, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment

Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications

Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform system testing

Ensure compliance with NEC codes, union agreements, and safety regulations

Maintain a clean and organized job site
Qualifications

3–5 years of commercial electrical experience

Valid Journeyman Electrician license (if required by Washington, DC regulations)

Experience working on union construction job sites required

Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical installation methods

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications

Proficient with hand and power tools

Reliable transportation to Washington, DC
