Iuvo Systems is supporting our client in their search for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is pivotal in streamlining and optimizing the use of Deltek Costpoint across multiple functions, including Time and Expense, Planning, Projects, Inventory, and Payroll. The ideal candidate will bring strong GovCon (government contracting) accounting experience, with proven expertise in managing incurred cost submissions and ensuring compliance with government regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Controller in day-to-day accounting operations and month-end closing
- activities.
- Lead and manage the preparation of the annual incurred cost submission.
- Utilize Deltek Costpoint for processes in Time and Expense, Projects, planning, inventory, and payroll.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in Costpoint.
- Assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with FAR and other government contracting requirements.
- Collaborate with a small team of accountants to maintain accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data.
- Provide audit support and assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a government contracting environment.
- Strong proficiency with Deltek Costpoint required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with incurred cost submissions highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of FAR and government compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
