Job DescriptionGeneral Production WorkerKeep Production Moving with Clean, Ready‑to‑Run Equipment
We are currently hiring for:
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: Sunday night–Thursday night | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
What You’ll Do
- Disassemble printing trays, ink trays, rollers, plates, ink fountains, and related components for cleaning
- Clean trays and equipment using approved cleaning agents, solvents, and tools, removing ink, residue, and debris
- Reassemble cleaned trays and components, ensuring they meet quality standards before returning to production
- Safely handle, use, and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with all safety procedures
- Inspect trays and equipment for wear, damage, or defects and flag concerns for maintenance or supervision
- Lift, move, and position trays and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Dump trash and unused labels into large bins and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy
- Follow standard operating procedures and detailed instructions to support consistent workflow
- Work closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure equipment is ready for upcoming runs
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
What You Bring
Required Skills & Abilities
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand for most of the shift and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort disassembling and reassembling equipment
- Dependability, strong work ethic, and consistent attendance
- Comfort working with cleaning agents, solvents, and chemicals while following safety guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, shipping, or receiving environments
- Experience in general labor, material handling, packing, or production support roles
- Experience working in non‑climate‑controlled facilities
- Willingness to work 1st or 3rd shift and take overtime when needed
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes through on‑the‑job training

Work Environment
This role is located in a busy, non‑climate‑controlled production environment, where temperatures may vary seasonally. You’ll work around printing presses, cleaning stations, and large waste bins while handling ink‑covered trays and cleaning chemicals. The job requires standing for most of the shift, performing repetitive tasks, and following safety procedures at all times. Overtime may be available based on production needs. Work attire should be appropriate for a manufacturing environment where exposure to ink and cleaning chemicals is expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
