- Willingness to use and maintain personal hand tools such as tool bags, tape measures, and hammers.
Why Work Here?
You will join a small, family-owned company where your work is visible and your contributions matter. The team is local to the Madison area, so you will not be required to travel outside Dane County or stay overnight on jobs. The company offers a close-knit culture with a total workforce of around a dozen employees, providing the opportunity to build strong working relationships and grow your skills. There are clear opportunities to advance into different roles within the organization as you gain experience and demonstrate your abilities.
Work Environment
You will work on commercial job sites throughout Dane County, starting each day at the shop before heading out to the project location. The schedule typically runs from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work takes place outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain, so comfort with variable environments is essential. Crews usually consist of 2–4 team members, reflecting the company’s small, family-owned culture of approximately 12–14 employees. You are expected to provide your own basic hand tools such as tool bags, tape measure, and hammer. Personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, and high-visibility shirt or vest, is provided.
