Job DescriptionDescription:

The objective of the S/R lead is to keep a smooth continuous flow of incoming and outgoing machined goods. This includes but is not limited to raw goods, finished goods, and work in process goods. Is to communicate any and all safety, staffing, process, directly to Production Manager so it can be addressed within company policy. Below will lay out the protocols for all types of machine good transfers the S/R lead is responsible for.

  • Out Bound- Finished goods-Skids are to be built as finished parts are marked and logged into the shipping ap.
  1. this is done by customer part #, po# ship date and quantity 2. Once verified skid is to move to the out bound lanes in Shipping. 3. As time allows skids are to be wrapped and moved to the staging lanes 4. outsourced vendors1. Pull from production floor twice a day when required and the appropriate staging lane. Package items as trained or routed, and request PO from the appropriate person or key your own once trained.
  • Inbound1. PO # listed on receiver1. Verify what is on packing list is what is be unloaded with a physical count. Log into ERP as trained and receive all goods by the EOB the day received.
  • Lead a team of up to three co-workers to achieving daily goals with associated with the parts marking and shipping department

Requirements:Education & Experience

  • Valid Driver's license


  • High school diploma or GED (required); associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • 2–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse or shipping department

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite ProfitFab)
  • Strong understanding of shipping regulations, including domestic and international freight
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends if required

Additional Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily shipping and receiving operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures
  • Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and inventory logs
  • Train and supervise warehouse/shipping staff
