LOCAL LIFTGATE DOCK TRUCK DRIVER
Minneapolis / St. Paul Metro Area
SAV Transportation Group is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Local Liftgate Dock Truck Driver to join our growing operations team.
This position involves local pickup and delivery of palletized freight throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and surrounding region. Drivers will operate liftgate-equipped dock trucks and must be comfortable handling freight using pallet jacks and hand carts.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26' liftgate dock truck
- Load and unload freight using:
- Electric pallet jack
- Manual pallet jack
- Two-wheel hand cart (dolly)
- Deliver palletized and boxed freight to businesses, warehouses, retail locations, and distribution centers
- Verify freight counts and delivery paperwork
- Maintain excellent customer service and professionalism at all times
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Secure freight properly and maintain load integrity
- Communicate with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries, and service issues
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A preferred
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 2 year Verifiable Driving experience required
- Experience operating pallet jacks and hand trucks required
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to safely move palletized freight using liftgate equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
