We are seeking a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging and therapeutic services for patients, including preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals and performance of SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex nuclear medicine studies independently (planar, SPECT/CT, PET/CT).
- Prepare, position, and educate patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Assist with cardiac stress tests (IV starts, EKG lead placement).
- Administer radioactive isotopes per authorized protocols.
- Conduct daily, quarterly, and annual QC on imaging and lab equipment.
- Follow radiation safety practices (ALARA) and maintain regulatory documentation.
- Archive study data, manage PACS transfers, and document findings in electronic health records.
- Respond to medical emergencies (CPR, oxygen, fluids) as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Certification: NMTCB or ARRT-Nuclear Medicine
- Active, unrestricted U.S. state license in Radiologic Technology
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of nuclear medicine experience
- Knowledge of organ system anatomy and radiopharmaceutical procedures
Preferred:
- Experience with advanced procedures: HIDA scans, Parathyroid imaging, I-131 therapy, Octreotide therapy, Cardiac stress testing
- Proficiency with PACS and electronic health record systems
- Ability to independently perform advanced imaging studies
