Patient Ratios: 1:2–3
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- First-time travelers accepted
Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
Weekend Requirement: As needed
On-Call Requirement: No
Floating Requirement:
- Yes, within scope
- May float to ED or Med Surg based on experience
- May be asked to support inpatient floors as a task nurse, including sitter or PCT duties when needed
Scheduling:
- Block scheduling not available
Licensing:
- Pending license accepted
EMR:
- EPIC experience required
Special Requirements:
- Nurse may be the only critical care RN in the hospital at times
- Must be fully competent in responding to and running codes
- Strong autonomy and critical thinking skills required
