A Day in the Role

You begin your Monday remotely by reviewing team dashboards: U.S. and Canada pipeline health, forecast accuracy, pricing consistency across product lines, and open escalations. You coach two team leads on discounting discipline and CRM hygiene, then sync with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Legal to align on a new promotion and its pricing guardrails. Midweek, you run role‑plays to sharpen objection handling and customer‑feedback capture. One week each month, you travel to a site to onboard new hires, meet outside sales partners, and visit key customers to close the loop on service improvements.

What You’ll Lead

  • Team leadership: Coach, develop, and performance‑manage Inside Sales and Customer Service to hit individual and team targets.
  • Growth strategy: Build and execute strategic sales plans that expand our customer base across the U.S. and Canada in partnership with Outside Sales.
  • Sales administration excellence: Standardize pricing and discounting, strengthen CRM usage, and streamline quote‑to‑order workflows.
  • Pricing stewardship: Own pricing processes to ensure consistency and profitability by product line and market.
  • Voice of the customer: Translate customer feedback and market signals into product and service enhancements.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Legal to execute campaigns and deals seamlessly.
  • Pipeline and forecasting: Drive lead generation, maintain a healthy funnel, and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
  • Talent building: Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new sales team members.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement process changes that lift efficiency and engagement.
  • Customer advocacy: Resolve escalated issues quickly and effectively.

What You Bring

  • Proven success as an Inside Sales Manager or senior sales leader, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams.
  • Outstanding communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Hands‑on proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Expertise in sales metrics, forecasting, and pricing strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or related field.
