Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-8 students in an elementary school setting located in Cicero, IL. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, offering an opportunity to work closely with students who require speech and language services in a collaborative educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • Credentials such as SLP - CCC, SLP - CFY, or School-based SLP experience preferred

Job Details:

  • Contract duration: August 4, 2025 May 30, 2026
  • Work week: 35-40 hours over 5 days
  • Caseload: Approximately 40-50 students
  • Age group served: Kindergarten through 8th grade
  • Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, attending IEP meetings, collaborating with other speech staff, and maintaining detailed documentation

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized speech and language therapy services aligned with student IEPs
  • Administer assessments and prepare evaluation reports
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
