This per diem school-based paraprofessional position in Rock Spring, GA, offers an opportunity to support student academic, behavioral, and social development through dedicated, individualized assistance within a school setting. This role is well-suited for professionals passionate about helping students succeed by providing essential support aligned with their educational and behavioral needs.
Responsibilities include: Delivering 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social support under teacher supervision
Assisting students with daily routines, transitions, and participation in classroom activities
Implementing behavior support plans and following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Supporting mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as necessary
Helping maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum age of 18 years
Compliance with TB testing as per district regulations
Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when needed
Possession of current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting
Background in special education, behavioral health, school settings, or child care preferred
Experience working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges a plus
Certification or experience in CPI, PMT, or as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) considered an advantage
