The Logistics Coordinator at QuickFreight.com plays a crucial role in managing logistics operations with a focus on efficient communication, multitasking abilities, and confident decision-making. This position is responsible for handling various aspects of freight coordination, ensuring smooth operations from booking to delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and customers.
Requirements:
- Accept customer loads, build loads, book loads, organize loads, and track shipments.
- Notify customers of freight arrivals, pickups, movements, and deliveries.
- Maintain clear communication with carriers, customers, and shipping/receiving facilities.
- Perform data entry into fleet management systems and online platforms.
- Manage records of purchase orders and provide administrative support.
- Resolve problems or make adjustments by contacting customers, carriers, or distribution facilities.
- Coordinate closely with management and trainees to ensure account maintenance.
- Discretion to negotiate contracts for individual freight shipments.
- Develop strong relationships with key contacts to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Prioritize coverage based on freight volume in the system.
- Ensure quality service delivery to both internal and external customers.
- Update management on potential issues and order changes promptly.
- Research and source carriers to meet logistics needs.
- Validate carrier qualifications according to established procedures.
- Provide backup support for team members as needed.
- Respond to carrier inquiries and communications promptly.
- Complete assigned training within specified deadlines.
- Work until all freight assignments are covered.
- Provide competitive pricing insights to management upon request.
- Prepare and deliver oral and written reports on carrier issues, market activities, and new service potentials.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics coordination or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Working Conditions
