A K-12 school in Wilkes Barre, PA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a maternity leave contract from September 29th through February 13th. This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized speech-language services to a diverse student population across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to students in grades K-12.
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts.
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY), or eligibility for School SLP certification.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a school setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with students of varying needs.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Valid state licensure as required.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- Competitive hourly rate between $53 and $56, commensurate with experience.
