A K-12 public school in Aurora, CO, is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a contract position during the uping school year. This role involves working directly with students with diverse learning needs, providing tailored instructional support in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities across grades K-12.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with parents, teachers, and support staff.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by district and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive learning environments.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with K-12 students with varying disabilities.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs.
