Job Title: Physical Therapist – Acute Care

Job Location: Syracuse, New York

Shift: Day Shift (5x8-hour schedule, 08:00 – 16:30)
Duration: 13-week assignment

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans and support optimal recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
• Implement therapeutic interventions in accordance with established protocols
• Set appropriate patient goals in collaboration with healthcare team members and patients
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner
• Participate in clinical rounds, meetings, and interdisciplinary conferences
• Contribute to staff education, student training, and clinical instruction programs
• Support onboarding and mentoring of new staff members
• Assist in development and improvement of clinical programs and services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (or equivalent)
• Active New York State Physical Therapist license or eligibility required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in acute care or related setting
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health screening
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
• Willingness to work one weekend per month
