Type: Direct Hire

Location: Fresno, CA

Salary: $100K–$145K DOE


About the Role

We are partnered with a Fortune 500-backed electrical construction firm to recruit a Project Manager for their Fresno, CA branch. The company delivers commercial and industrial electrical construction, engineering, facilities maintenance, utility, sound and communications, and renewable energy services throughout the San Joaquin Valley and surrounding region.

Reporting to the Division VP, the incoming PM will join an active project team, initially supporting a 16-month commercial data center project and an active food and beverage manufacturing facility project in Tulare County. Additionally, the PM will assist with closeout on two other projects. After the data center project is complete, the PM will transition to full independent ownership of assigned work.

This role requires knowledge of means and methods in commercial and industrial electrical construction, strong financial discipline, and the ability to manage field leadership, subcontractors, budgets, and client relationships without close supervision.


Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Lead all phases of assigned electrical construction projects from inception through closeout

• Maintain project budgets, scheduling, billing, and collections

• Maintain all required project documentation including permits, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and correspondence

• Perform electrical takeoffs and formulate change orders

• Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental regulations, and company safety policies

• Escalate critical issues to the Division VP with recommended solutions

Field & Team Oversight

• Oversee work assignments and performance of field personnel

• Select and manage subcontractors and equipment suppliers

• Identify and acquire necessary project resources, internally and externally

• Collaborate with foremen on safety compliance and field problem resolution

Stakeholder Management

• Conduct and attend project meetings, walk-throughs, and progress reviews

• Confer with owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve work procedures and construction challenges

• Build and maintain client, subcontractor, vendor, and partner relationships


Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years managing Commercial or Industrial electrical construction projects as a Project Manager or Estimator

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical installation, contract documents, estimates, and construction specifications

• Strong estimating skills—quantity takeoffs, change order pricing, and project pursuits

• Understanding of union contract requirements and labor relations

• Proficiency in project financial management including billing, cash flow projections, and WIP reporting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ACCUBID or comparable estimating software

• Working knowledge of Viewpoint or comparable accounting/project management software

Preferred

• Proficiency in Procore or comparable construction project management platform

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and related technical programs

• NFPA 70E, OSHA, and/or MSHA training

• PMP certification


Compensation & Employment

Employment Type: The selected candidate will be hired as a full-time employee directly with our client.

Salary: $100,000–$145,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
