The Registered Nurse (Non-Exempt) is responsible for delivering patient care by utilizing the Nursing Conceptual Framework, ensuring professional accountability, and collaborating with various departments. This role necessitates a valid RN license, essential certifications such as Basic Life Support, and the capability to handle physically demanding tasks. Employs the Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing processes to deliver patient care. Upholds professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients. Collaborates with other departments to coordinate patient care while safeguarding patient rights and maintaining confidentiality.
Position Details:
Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Responsible for acquiring and maintaining a current RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure, fulfilling all state board of nursing requirements.
Experience:
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
Depending on the specific position or unit, the following certifications may be required or must be obtained within a designated timeframe:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as necessary
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing and walking are required during each shift.
- Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job responsibilities.
