Senior Production Test Technician – Wire Harness / Electrical Assembly

Location: Grand Rapids, MN]

Pay: $30–$40/hour (based on experience)

About Us

We are a growing wire harness manufacturer focused on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on technician to take ownership of our testing processes, fixtures, and production support.

This is not an entry-level role—we need someone who can step in, troubleshoot independently, and help improve how we build and test our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and troubleshoot wire harness test systems (Cirris or similar)

• Develop and maintain test programs from electrical schematics and prints

• Build, modify, and maintain test fixtures, boards, and jigs

• Support production with real-time troubleshooting and problem solving

• Train operators on testing procedures and equipment

• Implement process improvements to reduce errors and increase efficiency

• Support engineering changes (ECOs) and update test setups accordingly

Required Experience & Skills

• 3+ years in wire harness manufacturing, cable assembly, or electrical production

• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and prints

• Experience with continuity testing, hipot testing, and electrical troubleshooting

• Hands-on experience with test equipment setup and programming

• Mechanical aptitude for fixture/jig/test board building

• Ability to work independently and solve problems on the production floor

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cirris, Dynalab, or similar harness test systems

• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards

• Experience supporting low-volume / high-mix production environments

• Background in manufacturing engineering technician or test technician roles
