Now Hiring: Senior Banquets Manager
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Senior Banquet Manager. In this position, you will assist the Director of Banquets in leading the banquet front-of-house team and beverage team in the day-to-day operations of the banquet department. You will also ensure the quality of service, compliance with health, safety, and sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. As a leader, you’ll bring our Promise to life—supporting associates, inspiring teamwork, and delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan & Execute Events – Develop and implement event plans, timelines, staffing, and equipment needs while ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration – Guide, train, and support staff, coordinating with departments like catering, kitchen, and sales to meet event specifications.
- Operational Oversight & Standards – Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization during events, with basic oversight of budgets and P&L.
What We’re Looking For:
- We do require that you have a background consisting of at least two years of management experience in a significant convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property).
- Prior experience as a server, captain, and set-up house person is preferred.
- Beverage experience is required.
- Prior experience working in banquet/event space centers of 75,000+ sq. ft.
