Position Overview
Mark Rite Lines is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our accounting team in Billings, Montana. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience and build a strong foundation in corporate accounting.

In this role, you’ll support day-to-day accounting functions, assist with financial processes, and work closely with experienced team members to develop your skills. This is a great opportunity to learn across multiple areas of accounting while contributing to accurate financial reporting and company operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with preparing and posting journal entries
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with general ledger reconciliations
• Help maintain and update fixed asset records
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Support preparation of financial reports and internal schedules
• Assist with audits by gathering requested documentation
• Identify discrepancies and escalate issues as needed
• Participate in process improvements and other accounting-related tasks

Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress)
• 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships or coursework accepted)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
• Internship or prior exposure to accounting environments
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Interest in pursuing CPA or other professional certification

Schedule & Compensation
• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Hourly, non-exempt
• Weekly pay
• Short-term annual bonus opportunity
