Job DescriptionThis position supports a busy industrial distribution team by assisting with order processing, expediting customer orders, and coordinating with purchasing and sales. The Expeditor ensures accurate quotes, timely follow-up, and high levels of customer satisfaction, while helping manage inventory, vendor orders, and returns. The role requires strong attention to detail, solid communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
- Support inside sales and purchasing teams by responding to customer requests and coordinating solutions
- Process and verify quotes, sales orders, and purchase orders accurately
- Expedite customer orders and incoming purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment
- Communicate updates or changes on orders to sales and purchasing teams
- Maintain knowledge of inventory and comply with inventory control procedures and return processes (RMAs)
- Assist with product issue resolution and follow-up for assigned customers
- Update customer and order information as needed in the system
- Provide general administrative support to sales and expediting functions as assigned
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive, accurate service
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: College degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of administrative, sales support, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to coordinate between teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders, quotes, and purchase orders
- Knowledge of inventory procedures and return processes (RMAs) preferred
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

The base pay range for this position is $55,000-$60,000/year, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
