Were recruiting for multiple locations: Laurinburg, Raeford, Winston-Salem, Rockingham, Lumberton, Gastonia, Monroe, Fair Bluff (NC), and McColl, SC. What youll do
- Psychoeducation & skills: Provide psychoeducation and structured skill-building/symptom-management as outlined in the Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
- Crisis first responder: Assist with de-escalation and crisis stabilization; follow crisis plans and safety protocols.
- Plan execution: Collaborate with the Team Lead/QP on the development, implementation, and revisions of PCPs.
- Behavioral & SUD supports: Implement behavioral and substance-use interventions under Team Lead direction; support relapse-prevention/disease-management strategies.
- Resource coordination: Facilitate linkage and referrals to formal/informal supports (housing, benefits, transportation, employment, recovery supports).
- Progress monitoring: Track engagement and goals; communicate effectiveness and barriers to the Team Lead; provide follow-up as needed.
- Documentation: Complete accurate, timely notes and incident reports consistent with agency policy and state rules.

Must-have qualifications
- Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
required (candidates without a diploma must have been employed in MH/DD/SA before Nov 1, 2001). - 1 year experience working with individuals with mental health or substance-use disorders.
- Knowledge/skills appropriate to the population and age served.
- High school diploma or GED
- Certificates/Licenses:
- Valid drivers license with personal vehicle insurance.
- Willing/able to complete required certifications and trainings (see below).
- Other:
- Basic word-processing/computer skills (or willingness to learn).
- Reliability and flexibility to meet client/team needs.
Training youll complete (onboarding & annual)
- Within onboarding timelines (typically first 3090 days): General Orientation, HIPAA, Client Rights, Confidentiality, CPR, First Aid, Crisis Response.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI): 13 hours (MINT trainer).
- Person-Centered Thinking (PCT): 12 hours.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) fundamentals: 12 hours.
- Permanent Supportive Housing: 15 hours.
- Trauma-Informed Care: 3 hours.
- Basics of Psychiatric Rehabilitation & Functional Assessment: 3 hours.
- Ongoing: At least 10 hours/year in selected modalities.
Schedule and travel
- Services delivered in homes and community settings; travel throughout the local service area.
- Flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings/weekends to meet client needs.
