Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes. You will play a vital part in managing reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and supporting month-end close activities.


Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed account reconciliations, including bank and credit card transactions, to ensure financial accuracy.

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Lead month-end close processes by compiling and reviewing financial data for timely reporting.

• Handle construction accounting tasks such as tracking work-in-progress (WIP) and managing liens.

• Coordinate accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.

• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial records.

• Prepare audit documentation and assist in compliance reviews.

• Conduct CAM reconciliations to ensure proper allocation of expenses.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting procedures and enhance efficiency.

• Support financial planning and analysis through detailed reporting and forecasting.


Construction industry and property management accounting experience is required and a degree in finance or accounting is preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction accounting.
• Proficiency in performing account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and CAM.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Expertise in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
• Familiarity with month-end close processes and audit preparation.
• Understanding of WIP (Work in Progress) and lien tracking.
• Experience with accounts payable operations and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills for managing complex financial data.
