Job Description
A community-based healthcare organization is seeking a skilled and compassionate physician to join its medical team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing excellent patient care while supporting the organization’s quality initiatives and collaborative care model.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based medical care in alignment with clinical best practices and organizational standards
- Maintain an active clinical schedule while ensuring appropriate documentation and timely chart completion
- Provide thoughtful, patient-centered care with professionalism, courtesy, and respect for patients, families, and colleagues
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, including use of best practice alerts, compliance with clinical measures, and participation in registries or data tracking
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment with appropriate use of consults and referrals
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries through the electronic health portal
- Participate in team meetings, site-based activities, and organizational initiatives as required
- Serve as a mentor or resource for colleagues and contribute to the development of other staff members
- Advocate for patients and support continuous improvement in healthcare delivery
- Contribute to research, teaching, or training activities as appropriate
- Maintain professional development through CME and adherence to ethical standards
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, regulatory standards, and annual health assessments
- Exhibit professionalism, tact, and cultural sensitivity in interactions with patients, staff, and the community
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school and residency program
- Active NY State Medical License (or eligibility)
- Board eligible/certified in respective specialty
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical skills and patient care
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Proficient with electronic medical records and basic computer systems
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic clinical environment
