Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time position is based at a single school site near Saint Johns, FL, with a primary focus on elementary-age students, although other preferences may be considered. Lead a classroom designed to foster growth for students with varying exceptionalities, making a profound difference each day throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Florida ESE certification (Exceptional Student Education)
- Active K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification (State of FL)
- Previous experience managing a self-contained classroom
- Familiarity with a range of learning levels and exceptionalities
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic settings
- Commitment to completing all credentialing and fingerprinting requirements, including the verification or renewal of prints through the AHCA Clearinghouse and obtaining a JLA badge
Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction in a self-contained classroom environment, adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of each student
- Develop, implement, and review individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning experiences
- Maintain detailed records and participate in necessary meetings and reporting
- Foster a safe, positive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
Key Details:
- Contract duration: August 10, 2026 – May 28, 2027
- Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day (totaling 35 hours per week)
- All work is on-site; remote/virtual (VOCO) teaching is not available
- Virtual pre-screen interviews will be scheduled for qualified candidates
