Job Overview

We seek an experienced and compassionate Qualified Para-Professional (QPPMH) to provide personalized training and support, helping individuals achieve community stability and independence. This role is key to ensuring clients receive the highest standard of care, in line with our mission to deliver exceptional mental health services.


Scope of work

  • Develop and implement individualized service plans (ISP) based on client needs.
  • Provide family relationship-building and parenting skills training.
  • Deliver case management services and daily living skills training.
  • Submit timely assessments, reports, and service plans per agency guidelines.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for effective case management.
  • Maintain communication with referring agencies and track medication compliance.
  • Manage a caseload, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of client progress.
  • Complete client intake, admissions, and registration for Crisis and MHSS services.
  • Report incidents to the Director of Clinical Services and Program Manager.
  • Communicate with the Clinical Supervisor regarding client care and progress.
  • Serve as a mandated reporter, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Provide weekly availability to the Administrative Team.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards and improve healthcare services.
  • Review documentation to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Assist staff with career development and education opportunities.
  • Attend meetings, addressing quality assurance and risk management concerns.
  • Offer information, referral services, and crisis intervention.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to QMHP staff.
  • Ensure effective care coordination and client outcomes.


What we are looking for

  • Open to contract-based employment and hybrid setup.
  • Knowledge of community-based mental health services and casework documentation.
  • Familiarity with mental health conditions and therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and families.
  • Skilled in community resources, referral relationships, and person-centered plans.
  • CPR & First Aid certified, with behavioral management training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience per the Virginia Board of Counseling.
  • Registered as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in Virginia.
  • Clear background check, valid drivers license, and 15 hours of annual training.
