Are you a procurement professional looking to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes? We’re seeking a skilled Buyer to support a well-established public agency in Ontario, CA. This is a confidential opportunity to contribute directly to the infrastructure, operations, and services that keep a community running smoothly.
In this role, you’ll serve as a critical link between multiple departments and the procurement process. Your expertise will ensure that contracts are managed effectively, purchase orders are reviewed and approved promptly, and public solicitations like RFPs and bids are executed with accuracy and compliance.
What You’ll Do:
Review, manage, and provide guidance on citywide contracts
Approve purchase orders and ensure compliance with procurement policies
Oversee public solicitation processes including Requests for Proposals and formal bidding
Support internal departments with procurement-related needs and documentation
Help prevent delays in key services by ensuring streamlined, timely purchasing workflows
What We’re Looking For:
Strong background in public sector procurement, purchasing, or contracts administration
Working knowledge of RFPs, bids, and public purchasing standards
Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and compliance
Experience with contract review and vendor coordination
A team player who can collaborate cross-functionally while working independently
