Job DescriptionSalary: $65k - $85k annually

We are currently seeking a full-time detail-oriented Payroll Administrator with expertise in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with labor regulations, administer employee benefits, maintain accurate payroll records while leading a small team. This position requires the candidate to be on-site, Monday - Friday in Long Island City, Queens. Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of payroll experience (required)
  • 1-3 years of payroll experience with labor unions and collective bargaining agreements (required)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with the construction industry and local unions (preferred)
  • Experience with Sage Timberline or CMiC (preferred)


Responsibilities for this position will consist of the following but are not limited to:

  • Process payroll for ~500 employees, including labor union workers
  • Process new hires, data entry, direct deposit etc.
  • Set up garnishments, levies, child support, 401K deductions
  • Prepare and pay garnishments weekly
  • Maintain and recording the accumulation and use of vacation and sick days
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Prepare and pay weekly/quarterly payroll taxes
  • Prepare certified payrolls
