What You'll Be Doing
- Safely operate excavation equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and trenchers to dig trenches for sewer line installations.
- Ensure excavation work is done in compliance with local codes, regulations, and project specifications.
- Assist in the layout and alignment of trenches, ensuring proper depth and slope for sewer systems.
- Work closely with the installation team to coordinate excavation and installation activities.
- Monitor and maintain excavation equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Perform daily safety checks on equipment before use and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow project blueprints and instructions to ensure correct trench positioning and depth.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure timely project completion while meeting all quality standards.
- Perform other duties as required to support excavation and installation efforts.

Requirements:
- Proven experience operating excavation equipment (minimum of 2 years required).
- Strong knowledge of excavation practices, safety procedures, and local codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary certifications (if applicable).
