Join our small, dynamic team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in preparing shipments, receiving materials, and managing inventory control. You will be responsible for creating shipping documents independently and ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution processes.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all activities related to the distribution and shipping of finished goods.
- Manage and support the daily workload for company packers.
- Generate shipping documentation for the Export and Compliance Specialist.
- Identify and meet on-time delivery requirements and customer delivery needs.
- Collect and close completed orders from production.
- Generate packing lists and certification.
- Support distribution activities such as packing and forklift requirements.
- Deputize for the Production Supervisor when absent.
Essential Skills
- At least 4 years of experience in shipping and receiving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with computer systems for order processing.
- Proficiency in domestic and international shipping.
- Ability to create shipping documents and use FedEx/UPS or DHL systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Excellent teamwork and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform numerical calculations.
- Ability to physically lift up to 45 lbs. occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently.
- High school diploma or GED required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
