Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching position is available within a K-10th grade school setting located onsite in Aurora, CO. This contract role focuses on supporting students requiring specialized instruction and paraeducator assistance to ensure individualized educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with special needs across K-10th grade levels
- Collaborate with paraeducators and other educational staff to implement effective learning strategies
- Develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet diverse learning requirements
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment promoting student growth and engagement
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or license in Special Education teaching
- Experience working with K-10th grade students in special education settings
- Ability to work effectively alongside paraeducators and educational teams
