Embark on a rewarding opportunity making a direct impact as a 1:1 Paraprofessional supporting a 4th-grade student in a structured, elementary school setting near Derry, NH. This contract role focuses on providing personalized, empowering support to foster confidence, independence, and consistent progress for a student needing a steady, authoritative presence.
Role Highlights:
- Serve as a dedicated 1:1 Paraeducator, working closely with one student Monday–Wednesday during elementary school hours.
- Build essential skills in the student by implementing strategies that encourage greater autonomy and self-sufficiency.
- Deliver firm, structured guidance to ensure consistent behavioral expectations and successful task completion.
- Partner with a team of general and special education professionals, sharing feedback and adapting support as the student grows.
- Opportunity for expanded, full-time hours by providing coverage at a second school site on Thursdays and Fridays for candidates willing to travel.

Desired Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required (Paraeducator certification, associate degree, or Praxis completion strongly preferred).
- Well-developed, assertive communication style with an ability to set and maintain firm boundaries for student success.
- Prior experience managing student behavior or providing 1:1 student support highly valued.
- Availability for part-time work Monday–Wednesday, or flexibility for a full-time position with travel.
