Job Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage cabling infrastructure.
- Install IP cameras (primarily Axis).
- Pull and route cabling including CAT5e, CAT6e, CAT6A, and fiber optic.
- Drill through concrete walls and perform limited conduit-related tasks.
- Bundle, label, and secure cables according to standard safety practices.
- Install cable support hardware such as J-hooks, racks, and innerduct.
- Repair cabling poles and towers when required.
- Perform terminations for Cat6A and fiber optic cabling.
- Conduct system tests to ensure proper performance of installed devices.
- Troubleshoot cabling and network issues to maintain code-compliant systems.
- Aid in closeouts and MDF/IDF room buildouts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of Low Voltage Technician experience.
- Experience working in commercial environments (healthcare, education, financial institutions).
- Proficiency with CAT5e, CAT6e, CAT6A, and fiber optic cabling; fiber termination required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and site maps.
- Experience with CCTV/IP camera, voice, and data cabling (no alarm/security systems required).
- Strong understanding of closeouts and MDF/IDF buildouts.
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screen and criminal background check.
