This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist with specialized skills in neuro and body angiography. Located in Canfield, OH, the position supports a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center, requiring advanced expertise in neuro-intervention as well as trauma experience preferred. Candidates must be adept at performing pre-op and post-op imaging for a diverse patient population, working alongside licensed practitioners in a fast-paced, critical care environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed practitioners during fluoroscopic and specialized neuro-interventional procedures using sterile technique
  • Prepare and administer contrast media via power injector as prescribed
  • Monitor patients closely, ensuring radiation safety protocols and compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Verify patient clinical history and obtain informed consent; document procedural details meticulously
  • Utilize PACS and hospital EHR systems to support imaging and patient records
  • Educate and mentor students and healthcare providers as needed
  • Support inventory management and communicate supply needs

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Certification and registration with ARRT required; preferred certifications include Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography and Vascular-Interventional Radiology
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • Associate degree from an ARRT accredited institute preferred
  • Experience in neuro-interventional techniques within a stroke center setting
  • Familiarity with EPIC EHR and PACS preferred
  • Strong skills in patient-centered care, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking

Schedule:

  • Four 9-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
  • On-call approximately once per week and every 5-6 weekends, with a 30-minute response time required for call coverage
