Position Summary
The Ticket Sales Associate is responsible for generating new business and renewing existing accounts through the sale of season and match day tickets, group sales, and suites. This is an exciting time as Fort Wayne Football Club begins its ticketing outreach for the 2026 season in the new stadium as a professional soccer team, and a great opportunity for a driven and energetic individual to develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospects.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide world-class customer service to existing and prospective clients.
- Renew and upselling current ticket holder accounts while establishing strong client relationships which will include phone calls, emails and face-to-face meetings.
- Proactively sell match day tickets, including 2026 deposits, full season and partial plans, group tickets, suites and any other special through outbound calls, in-person meetings, networking events, and community engagement.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospects using ticketing platform/CRM.
- Maintain accurate records and anecdotal conversations with prospects and existing clients.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales goals set by the Director of Ticketing.
- Sell walk-up tickets in the match day ticket booth.
- Master ticket sales software to process electronic distribution of all tickets.
- Represent Fort Wayne Football Club at matches, community and business networking events, and at local schools and universities to drive sales.
- Work closely with the marketing, social media and community engagement teams to execute ticket sales campaigns.
- Assist Director of Ticketing as needed with other responsibilities.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of practices and principles of sales from generation of new business to closing the deal.
- Successful track record of meeting sales goals, displaying creativity and showing initiative.
- Knows how to manage a budget, including forecasting.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required, and travel as needed.
- Strong relationships and communication skills.
- Strong project management skills. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must have access to reliable transportation for meetings, events and match days.
Experience and Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of ticket sales experience, preferably with a sports team.
- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales goals through outbound sales efforts.
- Experience using CRM and ticketing software platforms (SeatGeek, Ticketmaster, Salesforce, or similar).
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during match days and events.
- Frequent use of computers, phone, and other office technology for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds (marketing materials, event signage, promotional items).
- Ability to work both indoors in an office setting and outdoors in varying weather conditions during matches and community events.
Work Environment:
- Typical office setting during regular business hours, with additional duties performed at stadiums, community events, and partner locations.
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment that requires adaptability, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support home matches, community engagements, and special events.
- Interaction with fans, partners, and community members in high-energy environments where professionalism and customer service are key.
Job Dimensions
- Reports directly to the Director of Ticketing.
- Collaborates closely with internal departments including Marketing, Communications, Partnerships, and Operations to achieve ticketing and revenue goals.
- Regularly interacts with external stakeholders such as fans, corporate partners, local businesses, schools, and community organizations.
- Expected to always represent Fort Wayne Football Club as a professional ambassador, upholding the organization’s values and enhancing its reputation within the community.
Work Location
- This position is fully based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and is not available as work from home.
