Job Details
• Certified Surgical Technician CVOR position involving CVOR duties with call included on weeknights and weekends.
• When no cardiac cases, will staff regular Operating Room, so other surgical background required.

Job Requirements
• Must have valid permanent professional license; temporary licenses not accepted.
• Primary Source Verification of professional license and/or certification required within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration.
• Proof of vaccine series or approved medical or religious exemption form preferred but not required.
• Positive MMR titers within last 15 years required; booster protocol applies if low titer.
• Fit Test completed within 1 year of start, updated annually; specific mask models required.
• Hepatitis B vaccination series proof or signed declination required; positive titers accepted within 15 years.
• Positive Varicella titers within last 15 years required; booster protocol applies if low titer.
• Tdap vaccination proof within past 10 years required; declinations not accepted.
• 2-Step PPD or IGRA test with negative reads within last 6 months required; annual requirement.
• Physical exam completed within one year of initial start date stating ability to work without restrictions.
• Must provide verification of employment within 5 years through third-party verification; attestations not allowed.
• Competency exams for relevant department with at least 80% score required within 1 year prior to start.
• UHS Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission-NPSG, OSHA topics required with 80% passing score within 1 year prior to start.
• Criminal background check including SSN trace and county searches within 6 months prior to start required.
• UHS OIG Search, SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC checks required within 6 months prior to start.
• Drug screen within 60 days upon initial start date required; instant drug screens not allowed.
• UHS Module Completion Certificate required prior to clearance.

Schedule Information
• Call included on weeknights and weekends.

Unit Specific Information
• Position requires CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience.
• When no cardiac cases, staff will work in regular Operating Room requiring other surgical background.

Additional Details
• American Heart Association BLS certification required for clinical positions.
• Primary Source Verification of license and certifications must be rerun every 2 years with RN license renewal and upon expiration.
• Temporary licenses are not accepted; must have valid permanent license.
• Proof of vaccination or approved exemption forms required for COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine, and other immunizations as specified.
• Ohio fingerprinting and background check requirements apply depending on residency duration.
