Tax Manager - Investment Partnership
Location: Hybrid in Chicago, IL (Largely Remote)
Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 (with potential for annual merit increases and bonuses)
We are a leading regional certified public accounting firm seeking a Tax Manager with specialized experience in Investment Partnership taxation. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated book of investment fund clients and take an active role in developing our junior staff. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and review partnership tax returns for various funds-of-fund investment entities, including crucial Schedule K-1 and Schedule K-3 reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all U.S. tax reporting obligations related to foreign investments and income.
- Research and advise clients on tax implications of investment transactions and Federal/State tax compliance matters for investment partnerships.
- Apply knowledge of private equity and hedge fund structures, including investor special allocations.
- Mentor and develop associates and senior associates through active participation in the firm's mentoring program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with investment tax partnership clients, with a focus on funds-of-funds.
- Strong understanding of tax compliance software and MS Office.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service and cultivate trusted professional relationships.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience at a Top 50 or large regional firm is a plus.
