About the Role

A&D Precision is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Process Engineer to support efficient, high-quality machining operations. This hybrid role combines advanced CNC programming with hands-on process engineering to improve production performance, optimize machining methods, and support quoting and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Programming

• Program all new jobs for vertical, horizontal, and 5-axis mills using technical drawings, solid models, and customer specs

• Conduct test runs and operate CNC machines as needed to validate programs

• Provide ongoing programming support to the shop floor

• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues and implement solutions

• Optimize cutting paths and machine settings to improve cycle time and efficiency

• Research and recommend appropriate tooling and materials

Process Engineering

• Develop and maintain detailed work instructions in the ERP system

• Support evaluation and selection of new equipment

• Lead process optimization for new and existing parts (fixture design, reprogramming, improvements)

• Review/update engineering drawings for accuracy (tolerances, engravings, alignment to production)

• Serve as a liaison for GD&T interpretation and customer/internal technical questions

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on tooling, fixturing, and improvement projects

• Participate on the internal audit team (audit execution + action planning)

• Maintain and organize the tooling cabinet system for production efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Strong CNC programming experience (vertical/horizontal/5-axis milling)

• Solid understanding of machining processes and production optimization

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, models, and GD&T

• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to quality

• Comfortable working cross-functionally with production, vendors, and engineering
