In this position, you’ll dedicate 15 hours per week during the school year, helping students build the communication skills that are vital for academic and social success. Support will be provided to children from kindergarten through 12th grade, offering a varied and dynamic experience. The assignment runs from late August through early June, aligning perfectly with the academic calendar and leaving your summers open for other pursuits.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), with CCC or eligibility for CFY
- Experience working in school environments, or a strong desire to do so
- Strong evaluation, documentation, and case management abilities
- Commitment to collaboration and effective communication with educators, families, and students
- Ability to adapt strategies to serve a diverse student population
Responsibilities:
- Assist district SLPs in planning and delivering speech and language therapy to students from K-12
- Implement interventions for students with a variety of communication needs
- Provide input during student evaluations and IEP meetings as requested
- Maintain accurate, timely records and progress reports
- Support staff and families with strategies that encourage speech-language growth in different settings
