Job DescriptionDescription:

  • Under direction, performs specialized employee benefits billing analysis and provides expertise in one or more areas of systems analysis for insurance carriers
  • Work with business partners to understand billing requirements, document policy details and validate data
  • Produce employee deduction reports from client Payroll and Benefit Administration Systems
  • Analyze billing data and prepare it for processing, validate billing premiums by manually calculating rates
  • Create basic reports for invoice reconciliation, auditing, and data requests
  • Populate carrier invoices
  • Provide support to clients, business partners and colleagues as it pertains to invoices and reporting
  • Document process, status and additional tracking of projects

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Finance or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 2 years working in insurance, finance, billing, data analysis, business intelligence or computer science field
  • Experience in performing information systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of business applications
  • Experience with Database Design, SQL Server queries, advanced Microsoft Excel as/or Access
  • Accurately read and interpret insurance explanation of benefit plans
  • Experience with Accounting, ERP, Payroll Systems and their reporting engines
  • Some knowledge of Project Management Software and other project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to define problems and solutions, prioritize workload, critically think, work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate; accept direction
  • Knowledge of employee benefits relating to billing a plus
  • Flexibility with overtime as necessary
