Short Description
Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with required Breast imaging experience to perform diagnostic sonographic examinations and support daily ultrasound laboratory operations.
Job Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment and the performance of high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and healthcare teams.
This role requires the ability to identify normal and abnormal sonographic findings while ensuring patient safety, quality imaging standards, and efficient workflow management.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations
- Operate and maintain sonographic imaging equipment
- Communicate examination findings and preliminary observations to radiologists
- Obtain and review appropriate patient medical history prior to examinations
- Differentiate between normal and pathological findings using independent clinical judgment
- Maintain daily ultrasound schedules and workflow coordination
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and quality assurance procedures
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies, safety standards, and imaging protocols
- Deliver compassionate and professional patient care throughout examinations
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ultrasound program accredited by:
- Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- United States Department of Education (USDOE)
- Program accreditation must specifically include Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- RDMS Certification in:
- Abdominal
- OB/GYN
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound technologist experience
- Required Breast imaging experience
- Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

- Strong knowledge of diagnostic sonography procedures and protocols
- Ability to independently operate sonographic equipment
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to accurately recognize and document pathological findings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a clinical healthcare environment
