We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing commercial, industrial, and ground-up construction projects. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and maintain a robust safety program, ensuring all site activities adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate activities of subcontractors, laborers, and other construction personnel on-site.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets or exceeds industry standards and client specifications.
- Schedule Management: Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, identifying and addressing potential delays proactively.
- Budget Oversight: Monitor project costs, manage resources efficiently, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers, maintaining clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve construction-related issues promptly and effectively, minimizing project disruptions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as building codes and zoning requirements.
- Technology Integration: Utilize construction management software and other relevant technologies to enhance project efficiency and communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on commercial, industrial, and ground-up projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality control standards
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Superior problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk BIM 360)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience with sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes
- Familiarity with lean construction principles
