Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with ARRT certification and at least 1 year of specialty experience for a day shift assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital-based mammography department
- Performs routine and advanced mammography procedures including stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages
- Patient population includes individuals requiring breast imaging for diagnostic or screening purposes
- Utilizes mammography equipment and manages radiation badge (dosimeter) requirements
- EPIC charting system is used
- Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts per week
- Performs mammography procedures independently and produces high-quality diagnostic images
- Follows ALARA guidelines for radiation safety for both patients and staff
- Responsibilities include accurate patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation for exams
- Maintains required records according to JCAHO and Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control
- Must be able to respond to patient questions and provide materials regarding breast self-examinations
- Permanent staff must be separated from any facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Personal dosimeter required for radiation safety
- All required documents, including certifications and identification, must be provided for consideration

- Current ARRT registration and Rad Tech license in the state of practice required
- Must meet and maintain ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification
- Current BLS for healthcare providers (AHA only; must not expire prior to start)
- Minimum 1 year experience in mammography required
- Must meet and maintain ACR FDA/MQSA requirements for mammography
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience with EPIC EMR is required
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, standing, and walking
- License required if applicable
