Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with ARRT certification and at least 1 year of specialty experience for a day shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based mammography department
  • Performs routine and advanced mammography procedures including stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages
  • Patient population includes individuals requiring breast imaging for diagnostic or screening purposes
  • Utilizes mammography equipment and manages radiation badge (dosimeter) requirements
  • EPIC charting system is used
  • Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts per week
  • Performs mammography procedures independently and produces high-quality diagnostic images
  • Follows ALARA guidelines for radiation safety for both patients and staff
  • Responsibilities include accurate patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation for exams
  • Maintains required records according to JCAHO and Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control
  • Must be able to respond to patient questions and provide materials regarding breast self-examinations
  • Permanent staff must be separated from any facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
  • Personal dosimeter required for radiation safety
  • All required documents, including certifications and identification, must be provided for consideration

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Current ARRT registration and Rad Tech license in the state of practice required
  • Must meet and maintain ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification
  • Current BLS for healthcare providers (AHA only; must not expire prior to start)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in mammography required
  • Must meet and maintain ACR FDA/MQSA requirements for mammography
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience with EPIC EMR is required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, standing, and walking
  • License required if applicable
