Job Description
Job DescriptionAbout the Company
Our client is a US-based healthtech business offering an open-source care management platform with integrated EHR capabilities. Their model enables healthcare organisations to adopt the platform freely and establish enterprise licences and bespoke solutions built on top of the core product.
The business currently serves approximately 75 customers, including Pan American Life and Laurel Life. Last year the company raised $15.1 million USD to scale its Agentic AI workflow orchestration capabilities for value-based care - a product it has now launched commercially.
The Opportunity
This is a first senior sales hire and a pivotal moment for the business. The majority of revenue to date has been generated through word of mouth and founder-led relationships. The company is generating leads but needs a commercially sharp leader to accelerate conversion, define the go-to-market strategy, and personally drive revenue growth.
The VP Sales will work closely with the founders and leadership team, owning the commercial strategy from day one. Over time, as revenues allow, this person will build and lead a sales team beneath them.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for the company's care management platform and Agentic AI solutions
- Personally manage and close enterprise deals with healthcare organisations across the USA
- Improve pipeline conversion rates across existing lead sources
- Collaborate with the marketing and SDR teams to align outreach with commercial objectives
- Work directly with the founders and leadership team to shape the commercial direction of the business
- Build a sales team over time as revenue growth enables further investment
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven track record selling IT or technology solutions into the US healthcare sector
- Comfortable as a hands-on, individual contributor who can personally close deals (not solely a team manager)
- Experience at VP level with a smaller team, or a senior sales professional ready to step into a VP role
- Entrepreneurial mindset; able to thrive in an environment without established sales infrastructure
- Strong understanding of the US healthcare landscape, including value-based care models and enterprise procurement
- Excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships at C-suite and senior leadership level
Please note that the salary package is flexible depending on the value the successful candidate brings.
