Support students in a dynamic school environment as a per diem paraprofessional in Shasta Lake, CA. This role offers flexible, as-needed shifts to assist children 1:1 in classroom settings, providing meaningful support both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized assistance to students, supporting medical, behavioral, and social needs
- Aid in daily routines, transitions, classroom participation, and mobility
- Support personal care requirements while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning space
- Collaborate closely with teachers and school personnel to tailor support effectively
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old with up-to-date TB test and background clearances (or willingness to obtain before start)
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
- Prior experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings preferred
- Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges beneficial
- CPR, G-Tube, or Trach experience is a plus, but not mandatory
- Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach
